THE EXPERIENCE BEHIND THE WORK

27 Years Behind the Badge.

Ben began his Kentucky State Police career in 1999 as a State Trooper, developing the foundations of investigative work through scene preservation, evidence handling, criminal investigation and courtroom testimony.

He went on to serve as a Detective in General Investigations and Major Crimes, leading felony investigations including homicides and multi-defendant capital cases. His work included collaboration with Commonwealth and federal prosecutors and testimony concerning investigative methodology, evidence collection and law enforcement procedures.

His career later took him into executive protection, detective supervision and command. As a Detective Sergeant, Ben supervised investigations involving homicides, child deaths, officer-involved shootings and other major crimes. As Commander of the Internal Affairs Branch, he directed confidential investigations involving sworn personnel throughout Kentucky while maintaining impartiality, legal compliance and procedural integrity.
